SPRING BREAK: March 23rd - April 5th, 2026
Final two classes of this term dedicated to preparing for optional end-of-year performance.
2025/26 DANCE education SERIES schedule
MONDAY
4:15 - 5:00pm /// Kids Beginning Irish & Irish I with Carlye - An upbeat class for young movers that focuses on building foundational Irish dance skills like rhythm, body awareness, and simple choreography that dancers will use across dance styles in their future dance adventures. Dancers in Irish I will continue to develop soft shoe skills, and learn the Light Jig and Reel. Dancers in Irish I will need hardshoes in Semester #2 (February) of this class.
4:15 - 5:20pm /// Irish II Hardshoe with Carlye (Invite Only) - This is our invite-only upper level Irish class for dancers who have already been introduced to hardshoe. This class continues to build on the foundation used in Irish dance, emphasizing rhythm and musicality to upbeat traditional tunes, and encourages self expression. Hard shoes required.
5:30 - 6:25pm /// 17+ Adult Irish with Carlye (Open Level) - Explore the upbeat and joyful art of Irish step dancing by building skills, learning new movement patterns and exploring traditional and contemporary Irish dance choreography. Each class includes a dynamic warm up, steps set to traditional tunes, and a mix of solo and group dancing. You don't need special shoes - bare feet, or ballet/jazz shoes will do! This is a perfect class for absolute beginners. If you have previous dance experience (step dance or otherwise) there are lots of opportunities to up-level for the right challenge.
6:30 - 7:45pm /// 17+ Adult Contemporary with Carlye (Open Level) - An elegant adult choreography class that makes you feel longer + stronger in your body & more confident in your life. This class meets you where you're at on your movement journey and is suitable for all dance & fitness levels. Knee pads and loose clothing that covers your legs and arms are especially useful for this class, as we do some work on the floor. Wear clothes that are comfortable to move in & bring a water bottle!
TUESDAY
4:30 - 5:20pm /// 5th Grade & Up Hip Hop with Nika - An inviting class for young dancers focusing on hip hop technique & choreography that will boost body awareness, build confidence, and spark joy. Students should wear baggy clothes, clean flat-soled tennis shoes, and bring a water bottle!
5:30 - 6:30pm /// 17+ Adult Jazz & Hip Hop with Nika (Open Level) - This sassy adult dance education class builds confidence, strength, and skills, both in your body and your everyday life. We’ll split the semester between jazz and hip hop: the first half will focus on jazz technique and stylized choreography, while the second will shift into hip hop grooves, musicality, and choreography. Each class begins with a warm-up rooted in foundational movement and ends with choreography that builds week by week. Expect infectious music, dynamic movement, and a space where you can feel your best and push your comfort zone.
6:40 - 7:40pm /// Vixen Jazz Funk with Chelsea - 4 Week Mini Series - Tuesdays in February - Step into your main character era. This intermediate jazz funk series blends fierce and feminine movement with feisty performance style choreography. Floor work may be included; modifications provided when possible. Knee pads recommended for comfort.
WEDNESDAY
3:30 - 4:15pm /// 4-5 Kids Creative Dance with Allan & Gracen - This is a perfect class for young dancers to explore the magic of dance. We focus on fun and positivity through stories, songs, and games all while building coordination, listening skills, and confidence. This class blends structure with creativity in a warm, encouraging environment. Dancers take this class independent of caregivers.
6:30 - 7:30pm /// 17+ Adult Belly Dance with Colette (Open Level) - Explore the beauty and power of belly dance through choreography and combos that incorporate fluid undulations, dynamic hip work, and graceful, serpentine arms. Each class begins with foundational warm-up drills to help you move with clarity. Please bring a scarf or shawl to tie around your hips, and wear comfortable clothing that lets your movement shine—showing your belly is optional!
THURSDAY
7:10 - 8:20pm /// 17+ Adult TEAM with Carlye (Invite Only) - An invite only performance focused class for intermediate and advanced adult dancers focusing on contemporary choreography, stage presence, and dancing as a unified group. Dancers must be enrolled in at least one other dance education class at NK STUDIOS. For performance bookings, email us at nika@nkstudiosbingen.com.

SNAP Yo Fingers /// Dance Fitness Fundraiser with Allan & Friends - Saturday, December 13th - 4:00pm /// All proceeds from this donation-based dance fitness class led by a group of instructors will support Washington Gorge Action Programs (WAGAP) in Bingen as they navigate increased demand for food resources due to recent SNAP payout delays & uncertainties around food future assistance programs. Reserve your spot here and donate at class via cash, check, or Venmo directly to WAGAP (QR code provided on-site). Suggested donation is $25, plus any unexpired canned goods. Celtic Christmas Dance Mini-Camp /// Saturday, December 20th: 2:00 - 4:30pm /// Celebrate the season with a fun and festive Celtic Christmas Dance Mini-Camp designed just for school-age kids! In this 2.5-hour workshop, dancers will explore lively Irish step-dance basics, enjoy playful group dances, and move to cheerful Celtic-style holiday music. We’ll sprinkle in a simple seasonal craft and plenty of games—perfect for kids with or without Irish dance experience. A joyful way to celebrate the season! Suitable for ages 7 and up. Nutcracker Ballet Pop-Up with Carlye /// Monday, December 22nd: 5:30 - 7:00pm /// Join Carlye for the fourth annual Nutcracker Ballet Pop Up! This is a fun and uplifting class for all levels, where we'll learn dances to the classic Nutcracker music that you know and love. You'll get a barre-inspired workout, lots of accessible and fun choreography, and a feeling that you're ready to take the stage. You will leave smiling, sweating and glowing like a ballet dancer. Contemporary Choreography Pop-Up with Leah /// Monday, January 5th: 5:30 - 7:00pm /// Join Leah for a 90-minute beginner/intermediate adult contemporary pop-up and tap into your dramatic side. We’ll learn a combination that leans into emotional, powerful, and expressive movement, everything contemporary does best. All levels and abilities are welcome.
